Medicare Advantage Update: Humana to Hold Member Seminars

10/2/2009

As PEIA announced in September, Louisville-based Humana Inc. will begin providing Medicare Advantage medical benefits to more than 36,000 Medicare-eligible retirees and Medicare-eligible dependents of retirees on Jan. 1, 2010. Coventry Inc., which previously administered the program, will continue to provide prescription drug benefits to eligible PEIA members.

To help make the transition smooth, Humana will hold seminars to explain plan benefits in Charleston and Sutton (Oct. 19), Morgantown and Wheeling (Oct. 20), Huntington and Weirton (Oct. 21), Romney and Bluefield (Oct. 22), Charleston (Oct. 23), Martinsburg and Beckley (Oct. 26), Vienna and Logan (Oct. 27), and Fairmont (Oct. 28).
