RemindersIn an effort to reduce costs, PEIA has cut back the number of benefit fairs this year by eliminating ones that have not been well attended for the last several years. We apologize if the fair you’ve visited in the past isn’t available this year, but you can always get information about plans by calling their toll-free phone numbers as listed on the back of the Shopper’s Guide.
Like last year, PEIA will not automatically mail transfer forms/tobacco affidavits. If you decide to change plans or your tobacco status changes, there are several ways you can take care of it:
- If you have Internet access at work or at home, visit PEIA’s website at www.wvpeia.com and click on the green Manage My Benefits button to update your account. You can change plans, add, change or remove dependents, or change your tobacco status. Once you’ve registered on the site you can check back in at any time to manage your account.
- If you don’t have Internet access, you can call PEIA to request a form.
We will still send active employees and non-Medicare retirees the Shopper’s Guide, so you’ll be able to see any plan changes, check on premiums, and compare your options. Check the Shopper’s Guide for new plan options and information about upcoming changes!
And remember, since it’s Open Enrollment time in April, you can add and remove dependents or change your coverage without a qualifying event, but you will be require to provide documentation for any dependent you’re adding to your coverage.
