During the nearly 30 years of experience with Medicare, they have learned how to be a better partner for you in your health.  To date nearly 7.8 million Medicare customers have chosen Humana to be their healthcare partner, making them one of the largest Medicare providers in the country.
Humana provides medical and prescription drug benefits for Medicare-primary members. For answers to questions about eligibility, health claims, benefits, and claim appeals, please call Humana at 1-800-783-4599.
 
Open Enrollment for Medicare retirees is held each October, with benefits effective on January 1. Medicare retirees’ plan year runs from January through December.
Medicare offers prescription drug coverage through a program called Medicare Part D. Please be aware that you should NOT purchase Medicare Part D coverage. You DO NOT need to enroll in a separate Medicare Part D plan, since PEIA will provide prescription drug coverage for retirees with Medicare. If you enroll in a separate Medicare Part D plan, you will be disenrolled from all medical and prescription benefits from PEIA. You will have only original Medicare Parts A, B and D with no secondary coverage.
 
Humana Silver Sneakers Program
SilverSneakers is a fitness benefit Humana/ PEIA Medicare eligible  members that includes access to 13,000+ fitness locations* nationwide, group exercise classes led by certified instructors, and online resources. Eligible plan members simply show their personal SilverSneakers ID number at the front desk of any participating location to use the benefit. Members may get their SilverSneakers ID number and find locations and classes at www.silversneakers.com. Members with additional questions should call 1-888-423-4632 (TTY: 711) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
*At-home kits are offered for members who want to start working out at home or for those who can’t get to a fitness location due to injury, illness or being homebound
